I’m not PP, but I’m assuming that the person who brought up John Poole’s GS rating being comparable to Westland’s is trying to go against the notion that Poolesville High School only has a high rating because of its magnets or because few Black/Hispanic/FARM recipient students go to schools in Poolesville. Poolesville itself is a very affluent and educated area. They have a median income that isn’t too far off from Potomac’s and yet even John Poole has more Black and Hispanic students than Pyle and Cabin John. It’s true that the magnet students make up a large portion, but those magnets are regionalized to upcounty students only.
This isn't a notion, it's just a fact. What you do with that fact is up to you. For what it's worth, the "upcounty" students in the Poolesville HS magnet programs come from these clusters: Clarksburg Damascus Gaithersburg Magruder Northwest Poolesville Quince Orchard Seneca Valley Watkins Mill Also, the Poolesville Fair Access people have spent a lot of time and effort trying to dispel your idea that Poolesville is a very affluent and educated area: https://monocacymonocle.com/images/issues_2020/MM_2020-02-21.pdf
