[/quote] NP. They should. I would vote for more money, but change lots of things. Year round school, more academics, more arts/language/PE, 8 hour day, more special placements. I'm an elementary school parent and don't even think that's working. It's broken from the start. Normal and smart kids are completely ignored while ESOL and bad behaviors take over the classroom. I also would like to see a move away from being tied to your local school. Local schools are either in a race to the bottom (with UMC parents moving out in droves) or a fight to get into the best pyramids. It's ridiculous that the education your child receives is based on how much you spend on your home. [/quote] No, they shouldn’t. We vote for a school board that makes these decisions.
