Yes, that list of almost 600 Republicans - people specifically working to advance the GOP’s agenda, not just regular voters - suggests that there is something deeply awry in the GOP. I would argue that their political philosophy, which is based in ignoring people’s feelings and needs for whatever the GOP wants to do, results directly in the kind of people who think nothing of traumatizing a child for life.

Think about it: the GOP has known, for decades, that “trickle down” or whatever nonsense they’re calling their economics philosophy, doesn’t do anything for anyone, and that people at the bottom of the ladder are being broken by a lack of access to a thousand different things, but they don’t care. If it accrues more money for the powerful GOP at the top, they don’t care how many people are hurt, how many lives are shortened and made more painful. There is a commonality of thought there. This is so true. Put eloquently in The New Republic: "Millions of reasonably intelligent voters... believe or claim to believe anything that furthers the objective of keeping conservatives in control of this country forever." Including that every Democrat and Hollywood celebrity is drinking the blood of babies when 600 of their team are the guys who have been caught with their pants down.
