OP, you are human just like all of us. Perhaps the first step is to admit to yourself that you are human and have a weakness? We all do. But, you are also a mom, maybe a wife, a daughter, you are loved. You are not your weight, even if this effed society makes us think that weight defines you as a success or a failure. The pressure in our society on weight is beyond insane. Also, don't blame yourself so much! Sugar and fat are added to all of our foods! You can barely grab something and have a snack, and realize, what? One serving has 300 calories and you had two bites? I am not saying that we can't figure these things out, but the world around us is like a minefield. I became aware of all these things in the store-bought food a few years after I moved to the U.S. So I started avoiding it. Now my DD has anorexia and orthorexia! So, while I was able to moderate intake of store-bought snacks, I messed up my dd. How about that for a failure and a sin a mother carries? I'd rather be overweight honestly. So, anyway, my rant here is, go easy on yourself. We are all but trying our best at this life, parenting, eating, working, etc...So, you like to eat. Not the worst thing in the world.
