I've taught middle & high school in Montgomery County for the past 20 years.

In every school I've ever worked in, admin has always been infallible in their communication to staff (it couldn't be more clear, I might add) to NOT engage in any political discussion whatsoever with students, unless our course of study was AP Government.

Political discussion (and particularly personal political discussion) has always been unquestionably off limits for any other courses & discussions.

I cannot imagine that Prince William County differs in policy/practice/procedure much to MoCo, which makes me wonder what this guy was possibly thinking? 🤯

Wait what?  MoCo certainly doesn't follow this.  We have had plenty of teachers happy to talk about their attendance at BLM protests and their joy in voting for Biden. There was one, a few years ago, who would only refer to Trump as the Orange Cheeto -- in class![/quote]

It’s astonishing how these people can claim there is no bias.  BLM-supporting teachers are lauded and given kudos.  Trump supporting teachers are told to shut up and stay “neutral.”[/quote]
