Op again and besides my objection to the fact that our health info is none of their business and schools are not bound by Hipaa it is one more thing to do at a time when there is no time. It requires an office signature. Who has the time for that now? And for the one snarky poster I was making sure there was no legal angle I missed, which the helpful posters clarified. [/quote]

Exactly.  In the time she posted and responded, she could have called her dentist and asked them to send her a signed form.  It is not a big deal, and if it means a whole bunch of kids get regular check-ups when they wouldn't have otherwise, its worth the inconvenience and intrusion on personal rights.[/quote]
