Hi, I know this comes up every year, but I thought I would still ask. How much does everyone give / or would you give in this scenario at my daughter's preschool: 1 head teacher 1 assistant teacher 4-5 after school teachers For Christmas I gave $50 to both teachers and $25 to the after school but I'm not sure if this is average. I was thinking about doing $25-40 for the teachers and $20 for after school since money is a little tighter, but not sure if that is too low! I'm also contributing food and other items for the week activities. Thanks in advance!
Last year I did $25 each for 6 teachers/director at the daycare/preschool. This year I’m doing $50 each. They came in to work every day after preschool reopened. They didn’t organize and protest that the kids made it too risky for them (compare it with some teachers in public school systems where the teacher association pressured the superintendent to not reopen. My older child, 7 years old, has been on virtual learning/distance learning since March). The preschool teachers had to deal with little kids not wearing masks properly, making little kids wash hands extra often, all the added risks of covid exposure since they had to show up in person every day. I’d do $100 each if our budget allowed.
