I understand additional prep for those who tend toward constipation, but what about people who tend toward frequent bms? Does everyone have to drink liters or gallons of laxatives? That scares me, tbh and I'm afraid I'd become dehydrated or something from the prep. Also, how in the hell can you eat a huge meal after doing a massive clean out/ not eating? I'd think some applesauce or a banana and a couple of crackers, not a feast
Oddly, the prep resulted in (probably TMI) BMs that were very odd. I didn't get nauseous and didn't have the intense cramping that comes when I usually have D. Instead this was like--huge amounts of water. By the time I had completed the test it had been over 30 hours since I had last eaten any solid foods, and the laxatives had worked their way through my system so I had no cramping and no more imminent BMs. I felt pretty normal and famished. They didn't give me any guidelines of what to eat after other than a high-fiber diet. So I ate a nice big meal because I felt up to it. YMMV.
