Plenty of time for kids to play in the snow after school lets out. We better not have a snow day. Plan now and if there is snow, have all the level 1 kids go back to the virtual method they were doing before November and those support employees stay home. I have no idea if this is the official APS plan, but it sure as hell should be.
If there isn’t a snow day DD won’t have time to play. She is in school from 9:25 to 4:10 and she has early morning activities. So I would kind of like it for her sake but I get that most kids need the instruction.
Which APS school has that schedule?
Not pp, but that’s not a schedule at any APS school, so pp clearly isn’t talking about APS.
You say clearly with such authority, lol. It’s HB Woodlawn.
Anyone who voluntarily chose that schedule has no grounds to complain that it doesn’t allow their tween/teen to play in the snow in the middle of the afternoon.
Are you upset? Is there something I can say so that you can feel better?
You could stop being so selfish as to demand needless snow days when kids are failing academically all over the country (particularly low-income student, ELLs and students with special needs) just because the schedule of a single school that your secondary student is not required to attend has a schedule that isn’t conducive to maximizing daylight playtime for said secondary student.
Can you show me where I demanded a snow day, selfishly or not?
