thank you.  this is how i feel.

my only issue for the repeat would be how does this work for HS students, seniors.  but for elementary school definitely.  i always say an extra year to save for college

I'm a teacher and I feel this way too, we should stop trying to pretend kids are learning. But you have to be practical about the impossibility that the current grade level will be repeated en masse - the parents of rising K students are SOL and going to have to wait another year? What about parents who don't want to their kids to repeat? There are endless scenarios and stakeholders and it is just not going to happen even if it makes sense on the personal level.[/quote]
