LOL she didn’t lose her seat for supporting trump! She hid from her constituents.
That’s how I remember it too. She seems to slippery to pull this off.
Comstock was Republican for the 10th US VA House District. That is Virginia in Northern Virginia and the 10th District has areas where real people live and commute to DC from Foggy Bottom [1st stop in DC on the silver, orange, and blue lines]. It's not she lives in Alaska.Hawaii, Fargo ND and snowed in... Comstock followed Frank Wolf, R, a hard worker. The 11th District gets Gerry Connolly, D, a hard worker. Connolly could run as an I or R and get re-elected. And the condo in DC- anyone need a condo in DC if you live in the DMV commute area? Couldn't make votes from DC? Based on the pandemic we don't know much about the opponent-but was willing to give her a try. I'm a Democrat and would never vote for Comstock and it has nothing to do with what party she's in. On a local level for school board and board of supervisors there have been ineffective Democrats and Republicans. Lazy thing in a commute to DC District missed 3.9% of the votes. Anyone miss 3.9% of work less sick, vacation, or a family leave? https://www.govtrack.us/congress/members/barbara_comstock/412658 From Jan 2015 to Dec 2018, Comstock missed 98 of 2,535 roll call votes, which is 3.9%. This is worse than the median of 2.5% among the lifetime records of representatives serving in Dec 2018. https://www.govtrack.us/congress/members/jennifer_wexton/412834 Jan 2019 to Oct 2020, Wexton missed 3 of 919 roll call votes, which is 0.3%. This is better than the median of 2.3% among the lifetime records of representatives currently serving. Jan 2009 to Oct 2020, Connolly missed 66 of 7,919 roll call votes, which is 0.8%. This is better than the median of 2.3% Jan 2019 to Oct 2020, Ocasio-Cortez missed 6 of 919 roll call votes, which is 0.7%. This is better than the median of 2.3%
