In 10 days, Garrett County went from 2 new cases per 100,000 people per day to 12 new cases per 100,000 per day. That's a pretty fast surge. https://www.garrettcounty.org/news/2020/10/cases-of-covid-19-increasing-in-garrett-county-testing-available
Up to 16 today.
Garrett is down to 14.77. State-wide average is 13.29. Coronvirus.maryland.gov site data. 7-day moving average case rate. Garrett added 3 new cases in the last 24 hours. I think with such a small population, even one household testing positive really throws off the numbers.
And back up to 15.8 today according to globalepidemics. Data will fluctuate, time will tell. I'm not rooting for the worst; just being realistic. European countries have experienced a massive, sudden surge in cases, likely tied to cooler weather; and I believe we will do so soon as well and that what is happening n Garrett County will get worse.
