My 14 YO DD wouldn't be caught dead trick or treating with me but she and her friends are going out in costume as I did for my last year. You're never too ld to have fun and dress up. I was just at Cabin John and saw a guy dressed up as "Dude" from the Big Lebowski, it made my day.
OP here. My DD doesn’t have any friends.
OP, you should take her. Wear something silly or festive, too, if she would like that. My DS has SN needs doesn't really have any friends, either. He was wondering about trick or treating and I discouraged it. I said it was because of COVID but really I knew I would be sad watching all the little kids with friends and him alone with me, his mom, like every other year. Usually I can genuinely make the best of everything we do together but I just couldn't this time. I'm not sure why. We did carve pumpkins and get candy for ourselves.
