My three year old wears it no problem but I’ve yet to find one that stays up over nose.
If your kid’s nose is not covered, why bother with a mask? It’s not doing anything.
Dp here and my three year old routinely plays with her mask and will not leave it up over her nose for more than 60 seconds. I fully recognize it serves no purpose (other than to spread germs) but it seems to make her daycare administrators /the other parents feel better to see she’s “wearing” one, so whatever.
This is on you as the parent (the fit of the mask, I mean). You can absolutely alter the mask so that it fits. Tie the ear loops so they are smaller. Or shrink the mask in the laundry so that the whole thing is smaller. Some kids won’t tolerate a mask because of sensory issues. But if your kid’s mask is falling down below the most because it doesn’t fit well, then change the fit.
Thanks for the tip but it’s not that it is falling down- we have tried many types and have tied the ear loops so that it will stay up properly. It’s that she will not tolerate it covering her nose/is incredibly stubborn and will manually pull it down any chance she gets. No amount urging has been successful in getting her to keep it up for more than a couple of minutes.
