A lot of Baptists do, my strict southern Baptist family does.  The women can't wear pants (it's a sin for a woman to wear men's clothing), and a lot of them wear long denim skirts.  No dancing allowed either (it's a pagan celebration), among other things. I left that crap. [/quote]

This is not typical of Southern Baptists.  I also  grew up in a Southern Baptist family.

They do tend to frown on dancing, but because of concerns about physical closeness/sexuality not paganism.

Nothing sinful about women wearing pants.  More traditional women may be more likely ro wear skirts/dresses to the more formal Sunday morning services, but that's because they want to look especially nice as a matter of respect.  (They'll probably go home and change into jeans).  Some women will dress in slacks to Sunday morning service, especially when it's cold.  These days, you're liable to find some women (especially younger ones) wearing jeans.  I think most churches would rather have you come whatever you're wearing (hopefully not shockingly immodest, vulgar, etc.), although you might get a few frowns from older members.  Some congregations and geographic areas may be more formal or casual depending on local fashions.
