Maybe they are and aren't telling you as they know you gossip.  I didn't tell anyone about when we were in services because of people like you gossiping and making things really uncomfortable.[/quote]

That’s such a weird attitude.

When I was in Infants and toddlers for speech I told other mom friends. Many of them ended confiding that they also had concerns about their child. I think it can feel scary to start that process if you’ve never been exposed to it. Talking about it helped others make the call and get started with an evaluation. Two years later, all but one are still using services. Early intervention works. That time would have been infinitely more stressful without help, there’s no shame in acknowledging that.[/quote]
