When I was in Infants and toddlers for speech I told other mom friends. Many of them ended confiding that they also had concerns about their child. I think it can feel scary to start that process if you’ve never been exposed to it. Talking about it helped others make the call and get started with an evaluation. Two years later, all but one are still using services. Early intervention works. That time would have been infinitely more stressful without help, there’s no shame in acknowledging that.[/quote]
