I got the shot last Sat. afternoon.... my shoulder is STILL in pain and has limited motion. I initially thought it was just the mix of vaccines and my body having a big immune response. But, as it has gone on so long, I now believe that the pharm tech at Walgreens gave me Shoulder Injury related to Vaccine Administration -- where the person uses too long of a needle and/or places the injection too high and it damages the rotator cuff or shoulder bursa. The other three people in my family who got the shot at the same time seemed to be fine after about 1-2 days. I am in pain and have taken some Ibuprophen.... but it still hurts when I move my shoulder (like taking off my shirt over head or pulling up my pants). I've never had this before... and I won't be going back to Walgreens for a shot. On line it says this can take 6 weeks to improve and it may not improve without a cortizone shot. Grrr.
My sympathies! I had this about ten years ago when a pharmacist gave it to me at Safeway. Ever since I have insisted on getting shots at the doctor’s office although I have known people who had bad experiences there as well.
