The people doing the looting and rioting have no idea of the long term economic impact of their actions. DC has be growing and getting safer for the past 40 years. It will take 50 years to recover from these horrible actions.
What the hell are you talking about? Do you even visit DC or have you read a newspaper in the last 4 months? There is no on-going rioting or looting. There has been no wholesale or even minor destruction of property in DC. There have been a lot of demonstrations, all of which have been heavily monitored by MPD and very few of which have involved any arrests. And there are some grammatical errors in your post so hard to tell what you are even trying to say but DC has not been growing for the past 40 years - it has only been 15 years and it didn't take years to re-cover from the 68 riots which in fact did result in serious property damage. - A white DC resident who can hear the many of the demonstrations and has no concerns about my personal safety
Did you contribute to gentrification of DC? How can a woke white person feel comfortable To sleep night Without thinking about the poor blacks who used to live in the same house or block?
Well my condo building had been a fenced in parking lot for supposedly 30 years before it was built so yeah I'm ok with replacing it with housing and there are even several African Americans in my building which is more than lived on the lot when it was a fenced in weeded lot. So yeah I'm comfortable with where I live and about coming on here calling out right wing yahoos (which is likley what you are) from the suburbs who have no idea what is actually going on in DC right now.
