PP, FCPS neighborhoods have very few poor Asians. Compared to NYC, where many, many Asians live at the poverty line. I will also say that the fact that most of Stuyvesant's Asians are poor has not shielded the school from the accusation of bias and privilege - although it's difficult to see how a poor, 1st generation Asian immigrant family in NYC is in any way privileged.
I don't this is correct. There is some substantial Asian poverty - primarily Vietnamese, Filipino, and perhaps also Pakistani/Afghan, in the Annandale, Falls Church and Lewis pyramids. Some of the Koreans in the Centreville area are moderate, if not low, income as well. It is probably fair to say there are very few poor East Asians in FCPS, compared to the large low-income Chinese population in NYC.
