[/quote] Yeah, I was going to say, all the Russians and Eastern and Central Europeans I know would be shocked to hear that they don't use nicknames -- every name has like five diminutives associated with it. And I know plenty of people from other European countries who go by nicknames, or who call their children by nicknames. [/quote]
