She kowtows to business leaders and now we have indoor dining, open gyms and people hanging out at bars She kowtows to teachers unions and now our kids can’t go to school Makes a lot of sense
Guys, schools in the south, west and Midwest all started in person yesterday. A few big urban, county run public districts with strong teacher unions did not. Most, if not all parochial schools and independent academies/schools started in person for elementary kids and at least hybrid for MS and HS. District run public schools starting in person as well, but asking for money money money first. Their plans are excellent and posted publicly. If you don’t want to attend you do a virtual option, possibly clubbed up with other schools since the interest was less than 10-20%. Meanwhile DC area, with excellent low metrics beyond acceptable for in person by NIH, CdC, WHO, Fauci, and other countries’ thresholds for school, is not planning or providing anything and is playing games with taxpayers, students and families. Shame on them. Many parents, well aware of what is actually happening in schools in the real world, are not impressed whatsoever with the dirty politics in DC and MoCo, or the private schools (Or teachers) catering to them. If this keeps up all goodwill will be lost beyond repair.
