LOL. Can you imagine any American kid having the discipline to stay in a box like that? What works in other countries could never work here. Look at the kids in Germany— you think American kids could even manage to stay in straight lines? Bet the adults here couldn’t even manage it. We can’t even get adults to wear masks.[/quote]
This is because in many of those countries corporal punishment is still the norm. Here in the US, parents have to tiptoe around their children and try to be their friends. Kids in many of those countries pictures were taught to respect, almost fear, authority.

I hope your point isn’t that corporal punishment is somehow beneficial. Because it’s not. Study after study shows that. And while American frame of mind and autonomy may not be beneficial for a pandemic, for sure, it has allowed many Americans to advance and achieve things people in other countries cannot. There are pluses and minuses to every approach and most often their success depends on the circumstances. [/quote]
