I don't know where anyone would have gotten that impression. Let me guess though: you read a headline somewhere that said BLM wants to "defund the police" and instead of actually reading the article, where you would have learned that "defund the police" means to reallocate some funding from police to community improvement, mental health and social services, and other proven ways to reduce crime and free police from providing those services so that they can focus on responding to situations where force is necessary, in your profound ignorance interpreted that as "no police at all" and came here to smugly show how little you know? Why can’t people say “reform” if that is a what is meant?  Why assign new meanings to words and then get outraged by people who don’t understand?

If  I headline an article “Five die in car crash” should I be confused that people don’t know that I really meant “Victims had to be resuscitated and are expected to recover?”

They can’t use the right words but everyone else is dumb?
