I never said that they are worse off than any of these other workers who have returned to work. My point was that the sentiment on this board makes it seem like these teachers are excited to return to school and they will be as nurturing, loving and ambitious as in previous years. That’s not the case and there’s really nothing Admin can do about it because no one is lining up to take their jobs.[/quote]
First of all, most essential workers are not “returning” to work, they have been working the entire time. Many frontline essential workers make as much money as you do, maybe even less, and are facing extremely difficult and potentially dangerous working conditions, but they show up everyday willing and able to work. Most teachers have been out of school since the beginning of March, and off the entire summer. What other professions had that luxury?[/quote]
