She does have a ditzy, stunted quality. I hate her lisping, little-girl voice in interviews. Not a bright woman for sure. She's one of my least favorite actors for sure.
I feel like this would make me crazy with anyone else but I find her strangely charming. DD has a lisp and I wonder if this is what she’ll sound like.
Not if you get her speech therapy as Drew surprisingly did not have. I think her lisp was played up/capitalized as cute so no one helped her improve herself. Though part of Drew's issue is facial assymetry/muscle movement when talking- her mouth pulls to the side which makes her difficulty speaking/expressing cogent thoughts it more obvious.
I’m not surprised it was never corrected. Despite being rich and famous, the adults in her life pretty much neglected and failed her as a child. Her mom took her to parties and clubs and didn’t take her to school...she was probably never evaluated amd even if it was pointed out during her acting her parents would have neglected to take her. Her dad was an alcoholic who abandoned them. She was broke and on her own at 14. Honestly she turned out decently given her family backstory.
