We were sure to have everyone gather for the holidays, had the great grandkids spend lots of time with him, took lots of pictures, and my cousin sat with him and recorded him talking about his life experiences. When he first announced to me that it would be his last year, I brushed it off and tried to ignore it, but we were actually very lucky to have had the time to prepare and make some lovely final memories.
