People have and will get the virus, but these people did not get it because of working in the college, nor did they transfer it to each other. I just read another article which was trying to pull together data about day cares and summer camps that were open this summer. Big caveat was the difficulty in getting the data, but it was worth noting that: 1. Many of these places were able to open and stay open without outbreaks 2. Even in instances where there were reported cases, in many instances there wasn't an "outbreak" linked to the facility--it was simply that a person got sick, which will happen. I'm very much in favor of strong preventative measures: required face masks, frequent testing, adhering to social distancing requirements shutting down large gatherings rolling back openings such as bars I think if we do this, we can open educational facilities.[/quote]
