The fact my parent was important did not mean I was able to get a job at Wilmer despite a middle of the road gpa.[/quote] Not necessarily. When I worked in Biglaw my firm hired the daughter of the founder of the firm’s biggest client (by far), despite her barely passing grades at a no-name law school in flyover country (presumably the only one she could get into).[/quote]
