I try to use posh mark as much as possible as a buyer. It’s a way to give money directly to individual people who need it instead of corporations like wal mart. I also think it is good for the earth to buy things used as much as you can. All that being said, lately it’s been sucking. I’m so tired of sellers listing their used wal mart clothes for more than they would cost new. Or stride rite shoes that are clearly very worn out for $35. Are you completely insane? And then when I offer low ball prices, they keep wanting to go round and round and round on negotiations. It’s exhausting and I’m starting to think it’s easier to just use amazon. Posh mark never really saved me all that much money but I used it anyways to try and support the little guy. Now I’m just getting worn out from the whole thing.
The used Walmart brands is an issue, I agree. I thought Poshmark started as a nicer resale option, hence “posh”. I sell a lot and buy a little. I really dislike the social aspect and wish buyers could see my star rating- weird that there’s no way to check that.
