Also, there are plenty of Uber rich families in NW DC, Bethesda, and Alexandria. Most of them just fly under the radar. I think having a 7 figure income and feeing average is not unusual at any area private (at least, the 40K ones).

But there’s something about mclean and Potomac.... people there just NEED to advertise their wealth. I don’t know if it’s a new money thing or what, but it’s a real turn off for many (myself included).[/quote]

A Potomac parent (in three divisions) weighing in to say that we absolutely do not feel what some experienced about the flaunting of money. In fact, we feel the opposite and assume it is because it is "old money." Yes, it's there. But we have found the school to be pretty down to earth and very kind. And we do not have a seven figure HHI - not by any stretch.[/quote]
