Link 2: The most famous article Making this specious claim and one largely responsible for this urban myth.  HAS NO FACTS OR EVIDENCE, just a lot of conjecture.  [b]Most important:[/b] written by Bev Taylor, of  IvyCoach, who charges A MILLION DOLLARS for her college consulting services (mostly to very rich internationals).  Do you think she has a vested interest in those folks believing her?

Link 3:  Completely supports the claim that schools that say they are need blind are so: “ Ask the colleges you are considering whether they practice need-blind admissions, and whether that need-blind admissions policy or practice includes students who are wait-listed.”

Sorry there is ZERO EVIDENCE here. To repeat: Colleges that claim to be need blind in admissions are in fact need blind in admissions.  Please do not hesitate to request financial aid from those colleges thinking it will help your chances of admissions.  It will not.[/quote]
