+1 I paid up front for the entire year within minutes of getting the offer. I want to support the club because I have had good experiences with them, I like the coaches, and the team. I fully realize they might not play. In other years I have donated to their scholarship programs and fund raising events. It is not about being stupid or not paying attention, it is about helping the club and coaches.

If your DC is playing rec and you gave them a couple hundred of dollars to support them, I can understand it.  But throwing thousands of dollars to a pay to play operation, when you think is likely that there will be no season, is insane.  There are much worthier candidates for charity donations than expensive soccer programs. [/quote]
