I always have - my kids are 10, 7, and 4. I work full time in a "big" job, and my husband works from home. I also work out 6-7 days a week. I have tried REPEATEDLY to make myself get up early before everyone is awake, but it's just not possible for me. My general routine is to squeeze something - anything - in during my workday (I can often find at least 45 minutes - whether during a "lunch" break, or some other time). We have a gym in the office, and I use it. Alternatively, I work out at home. With my kids, next to my kids, however I can fit it in. I do a lot of HIIT workouts - there are really great ones that you can do in 30 minutes or less. I do them in the front yard sometimes while my kids are playing so I can be with them. On weekends, we all go for bike rides, or I run alongside my kids while they're on scooters/bikes. It's really important to my mental health and wellbeing, but I am away from my kids so much that if I'm going to work out when I'm home, I'm going to find a way to do it near them. When they were babies, I'd put their baby seats on the floor while I worked out, or ran w/ my jogging stroller.
Same poster here. Another great app for this is Popsugar Fitness. They have loads of workouts ranging from 5 minutes to 60 minutes that I use religiously on really busy/difficult days. For example, I'll bring my hand weights into the kitchen while I'm cooking dinner (or chatting with my kids), and do a 5 minute or 10 minute arm workout. They have a great 5 minute standing ab workout I can do anywhere. I always take the stairs at work. You can make things add up if you really work at it. We also do Go Noodle and kid fitness apps together.
