USSF props up the women's pro league. W/o that money there is no NWSL. This whole system is an apples and oranges issue, yet the women tried to frame as inequity. The women wanted the guarantees of salary and other benefits from USSF that men dont't get then turn around and say they're not getting paid like the men. They're by far the highest-paid women's team in the world. I get they're more successful than the men, but they don't generate the potential revenue - mostly through World Cup money - that the men can. So they're pay structure is going to be different. The equal pay argument is for social and media outlets to cry discrimination. It's a false equivalency. Anyone in business understands that WNBA players get paid less than the NBA and it is isn't discrimination even if the Minnesota Lnyx and Minnesota Timberwolvers achieve different success.
Yep, they cried wolf with the help of Social Justice Warriors and social media. What the players were talking about had nothing to do with the actual case. They have zero integrity.
I wouldn't call the integrity of the players in question, but the case was dismissed because women made more than men. Men would have made more if they won the world cup like women did, but judge only looked at the actual earnings, not theoretical ones.
