How could the restaurant take the entire delivery fee?  $1 or $2 is fine, but why $4.49?

If you order online some places it[b] specifically states that the delivery fee is separate from tip and does not go to the driver.[/b] It may indirectly to reimburse for mileage but the restaurant keeps the fee because they can. $5 or $10 is a good curbside tip if that's what they can afford. At this point some restaurants are staffed mostly by salaried managers and all tips are pooled for employee relief funds (My husband is a manager) [/quote]
