So this dude is just stating that he remembers the switch from global cooling to global warming. [b]I do as well, though I was living in SoCal at the time. We were all worried about expanding ice caps.[/b] Anyway, I am not sure that he was trying to throw water on anything just stating that the plastic vs paper bag guidance continues to change as well. Why are we crushing him/her again?

I like my reusable bags, though I must say I have always wondered how they could possibly be as hygienic as disposable. I like the fashion aspect of reusable (my bags are crazy sushi and Japanese anime food. People seem to like to comment on them.) But with COVID now, I have not been using them as stores will no longer allow you to put them on counters etc.[/quote]

"We" were not "all worried." Even then, there were already plenty of scientists who were worried about warming. But Time and Newsweek wrote some pieces about global cooling. That's probably what you remember.
