I guess that would make sense. But one would think that someone who is willing to spend $60K+ on a car would be willing to spend $300 for a chromebook for each child.

We don't drive super expensive cars, and we have multiple home laptops/computers that the kids can use. They are not new, but they suffice.

I'm assuming that many who are working from home also use work laptops. Some of course might be using home laptops.  But, it's hard to believe that people who can afford super expensive cars can't afford to go out and get an extra chromebook for $300.[/quote]

PP, we don't know the circumstances or the reasons why people went and got Chromebooks. Nor do we need to. MCPS offered them for people to come and get, and people came and got them.[/quote]

Actually, it was for kids who do not currently have one and NEED one. If a parent can buy a 100k dollar car, they absolutely can afford to buy a $189 Chromebook for their kids. [/quote]
