WM has a reputation of being a stressful culture with grade deflation. The grade deflation may have chanced, but I'm not sure. Both great schools. VT's business school attracts A LOT of companies for internships and graduates. WM has a great reputation as well. To me, this comes down to what environment you want to study in. If you want a large college, school spirited education, go to VT. If you want a small, intellectual environment, go to WM.
Almost no colleges have grade deflation. They have grade inflation. William & Mary actually has higher average grades than VT if you look at gradeinflation.com . William & Mary was 3.33 in 2014 vs VT at 3.15 in 2015.
Completely useless statistic if you’re not separating out by major
Seems useful to me. We never have perfect information.
