You do realize we are staring down the abyss of deflation right now? 30% unemployment in one month and nearly the entire collapse of private demand. The government has to essentially fill void in private sector demand otherwise [b]nearly all small businesses in the US will be bankrupt within 2 months.[/b]

The point is to stimulate the hell out of the economy. And also to get kids investing in 529 accounts to boost the market.
