You will have zero motivation when you are in the ICU in a few weeks.
This is the problem! ICU?!? Healthy individuals recover from this with no problem like the tens of thousands in China. The old and sick are the vulnerable ones just like with the flu . Tom Hanks and his wife are hanging out in their rented mansion watching Netflix recovering just fine.
The CDC has already revealed that this initial assumption was incorrect. As many as 20-33% of those age 45-65 (your age group) will be affected seriously enough to be hospitalized from this infection. And the death rate in that age group was between 0.4 and 1.3%. Yes, you are less likely to die from the virus, but you are still extremely likely to be ill enough to be hospitalized. And if you are hospitalized, you will take valuable resources away from others who need to be hospitalized including many older than you who have a greater risk of dying. So, just try to be a little less selfish and just stay away from the gym so that you can stay out of the hospital and leave the resources for others.
And those 20-33% who are affected seriously have preexisting health conditions! Not the individuals who exercise and eat healthy with zero medical conditions ..
You need to pay more attention to the news: https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1257133/coronavirus-news-latest-covid-19-coronavirus-young-people-deaths-world-health-organization
Several leading health professionals have warned that young healthy, even “sporty” people are at risk of dying from coronavirus. Dr Ignace Demeyer, an emergency doctor in Belgium described the pandemic as “nothing short of terrifying”, as he spoke of his surprise at the increasing number of young people showing severe symptoms. A second doctor, Dr Bruce Aylward of the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned people as young as 30 were dying from the virus.
The recent CDC report came to similar conclusions. But, go ahead and go as long as you maintain good social distancing after you leave the gym. Stay away from everyone else, then you're only a risk to yourself. As long as you only kill yourself, it's not going to bother us. Just don't infect others.
Fake news!
