Me too, people who don't hold the door for those next to them are my.pet peeve. Gender aside. Maybe he wouldn't go open a car door for a buddy but maybe he would, and likely he would hold all other doors. That's good manners.[/quote]

I know what you mean but I would not be surprised at all if 16 year olds think that it's funny that we are even discussing this as "a thing". They have plenty of larger issues to worry about than this sort of antiquated, and irrelevant practice.they are highly unlikely to get offended or turned off , nor think it's a wonderful thing.
