Tech admits by Major.  Back in the day, if you did not get into your preferred major, you still had a chance at another major.  Not anymore[/quote]
Wonder how this strategy will play out long term.
I know they’ve framed a future vision, but I only understand part of it. The opening opportunities to diverse students( first gen, underrepresented...) I get. The one major, I don’t understand as part of the university vision. In fact, it annoys me that students are not encouraged to explore more disciplines. They have Many  really interesting majors and a narrow path of exploration. It’s difficult to find best fits when you have to declare so early. Congrats to those 17 and 18 year olds who know, but there are so many who have yet to figure out how to apply their skill set.[/quote]
