It's fine to be brilliant but have a physical disability that precludes military service. It's fine to have struggled with your mental health, or to just not want to serve in the military. But for the kids who do have that desire, and do check all of those boxes? There's really no better path to professional success. If someone graduated from Yale Law, that tells me they are smart. If someone graduated from West Point, it tells me they are smart and they've been trained to lead. Depending on the job, I'm going to want the second one more. [/quote]
