Everyone who is saying she taped it...like how could that be the case...unless she handed her phone to one of the students first and asked her to tape it.
Duh, she's a lawyer... are you being serious? There are literally a million ways she could have done this without him noticing, for instance you can have your phone right in your hand, you can place it in the outside breast pocket of your jacket, you can put it on an arm band used for jogging, a Go Pro, etc. etc. etc. . Let's be clear, she went on that bus for ONE reason and one reason only and that was to instigate, manipulate and provoke that bus driver enough to get what she needed to use against him. She climbed onto that bus with a very specific agenda and trust that she wasn't going AN-Y-WHERE until she got what she was there for. So she egged him on until she got the reaction she needed. She is NO hero, quite the contrary... she's just another calculating, scheming, smarmy lawyer. Notice how she doesn't exit the bus when asked in a calm manner? Trust that was done with intent. Any other reasonable parent (who didn't have an agenda and wasn't filming) would have NEVER gotten onto a middle school bus (bahaha!) in the first place. A middle school bus (bahaha!)? Jeez. Good grief, that child is never gonna live that down. Let's play make believe though, and say that any one of us had climbed onto the bus (and by us I mean, normal, logical, rational, sensible, non-overbearing & non-entitled parents of the world). When the bus driver asked us to exit the bus, we would do what any rational parent without an agenda would do... we would exit the bus and communicate with him through the door. Not Karen, oh no. Karen jumped on there ambush style and when asked to leave the bus, she doubled down. You see, Karen knew that she didn't have the damming evidence that she needed to complete her mission. In that moment she knew that she was gonna have to instigate him enough to get the reactionary video that she came there for. So, that's what she did -- she refused to exit the bus. Not only that, she then made herself feel even more imposing & threatening by standing over him and blocking him. This was done specifically to manipulate a big reaction out of him. Let's not forget the fact that the bus driver did NOT know this woman. She could have been mentally unstable, she could have had a gun in her pocket, she could have been a parent with their custody remanded or she could have had some kind of evil agenda against the kids that she was looking to accomplish. Look around us, the world is a crazy place. How was he supposed to know who she was or what her intentions were? Is he some kind of mind reader? This man is responsible for a bus full of kids and his job is to protect them... and here comes this crazy lady climbing onto a middle school bus (bahaha!) without being invited on, without introducing herself first, without explaining why she was there, and she starts ranting and raving like a lunatic. Then, when he calmly asks her to leave, she REFUSES to. Does this sound like someone who's mentally stable and acting in a rational manner to you? She certainly doesn't to me and she probably didn't too him. After she refused to leave the bus, I can't say that my sixth sense wouldn't have jumped up to a Defcon 5 either. Look, I'm not condoning the bus drivers yelling, but I know that there are a million other ways that this could have been handled efficiently and successfully (while using her power as a lawyer, no less!). Rather than go about this with integrity, she chose to come up with a sneaky, conniving plan instead. I don't think that the bus driver reacted appropriately, but it was a REACTION to her sneaky action. I think she comes out of this looking far, far worse than he does.
#teambusdriver all the way. Ok, he yelled on the job. Big friggin deal. She totally tried to provoke him!
