Latest tweet from Dean J... https://twitter.com/UVaDeanJ/status/1222528066649456641?s=20
And like Washington, she says nothing other than we are working on it and hope to have more information soon.
I posted earlier and am sticking by my earlier prediction of release next week on Friday, February 7. I appreciate that they don't want to announce a release date (even if they have a really good idea of it) until they are absolutely sure they can deliver on that date. It would be horrible to announce a date, and then have to walk it back.
"Horrible"? Wouldn't be horrible at all to have to move an admissions notification date. Who is actually harmed by such a move? Cancer is horrible. Fatal helicopter crashes are horrible. This wouldn't even be close to horrible.
 I love it when word police on DCUM forbid anyone from using negative language or complaining because "what about WAR, FAMINE, DISEASE, DEATH?!?!" Can we please take it as read that we are all reasonable people that do have a sense of proportion, but also are fortunate enough to live in circumstances in which we do not encounter the worst that life can dish out, so instead have the luxury to complain about relatively minor things on a forum that you don't have to visit if you think everyone is being to shallow? One of my favorite children's books is "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" but I guess quoted PP would feel that book is "wrong" because it teaches children to use the word "horrible" when he has to wear his railroad train pajamas. Anyway... I didn't say it would be horrible to push the date back. I said it would be horrible to announce a date prematurely. It's likely that the Admissions Office is 99% sure what date they think they can release, and based on their track record, that date is earlier than the mid-February date. I'm saying that I recognize that it is prudent for them to hold off on having Dean J post that earlier-than-Feb 15-date until they are 100% confident they can release on that date. Because if she was to post today "we are releasing tomorrow!" and then 24 hours later had to says "whoops, sorry my bad." then that is a communications fail.
You're a drama queen. And you were wrong. Notification date is Jan. 31.
