Someone upthread mentioned a "last straw" day and that's what it took for me... when I was overfowing a diva cup within 30 minutes was that day. We had a road trip scheduled for the following week--and the realization of what would have happened to a drive if my period had coincided with it is what made me get serious about addressing it. The hostility on this thread really bums me out. I hope the "just deal with it!/what are you, 12?" people might take a moment to reflect on their responses and consider the possibility that "a heavy period" may actually mean different things to different women.
