Thanks everyone. I have decided to rent an apartment in Rosslyn and go to Arlington Science Focus school zoned for the neighborhood. In case anyone military is reading this, we do have rights regarding fair schooling come to find out. That means our kids can have the opportunity to enter the lottery and not miss out just because we have orders to move 2 months into the school year.
Just FYI, ASFS (Arlington science focus school) will be at 140% capacity next year. Specials are in the hallway. Classes are at max size. Lots of parents and kids may be anxious and moody next year because they will (most likely) be redistricting most of the school to Key. It a big deal for 8months, but just wanted to let you know it may be a tough year there. You can read the thread “Myths about Key” for a background.
