This is how my parents are. My younger sister is single, never married, no kids and pretty much relies on my parents for too much. I wouldn't be so sure about the bolded.  I've seen this before.  The sister may have a ton of fear and anxiety, relying on old patterns to actually have somewhat of a life.  Even if that's with them.  are they old and feeble, or totally self-sufficient?
