I think it is because people let thier dogs jump on people and expect kids to know what to do.  We had someone yell at my son for acting afraid of thier dog because it was bad for thier dog.  He was not acting.  He was scared because thier dog is a terror.  So yes, now he has a fear of dogs.  [/quote]

This. Many dog owners think it’s okay to let their large dogs jump up at kids. A dog actually bit my son’s hand as we were passing by on a crosswalk. The dog owner shouted at my son. [/quote]
