There have been numerous posters on this forum who said that they wouldn't have applied if they had seen the CogAT scores beforehand - and their kids got accepted into AAP. The process is holistic, and kids can get in with relatively low scores if the rest of the packet is strong. Even if your kid is in-pool, it's better to give the committee more info and a more complete picture of your kid.
